“The segment of small and medium enterprises is currently of vital importance in terms of growth potential for the products and services offered by ICT providers. Although large companies spend relatively more on new technology purchases, the saturation of the segment and competition or also at the highest level.
It comes as no surprise, therefore, that providers are interested in smaller businesses and go lower in their search of new clients. The SME segment is still the area with lowest penetration rate, where the saturation with various ICT solutions suggests high sale potential and possibilities. The enterprise base is also promising – according to different estimations there could be up to 140,000 businesses employing 10-249 staff, while there are just over 5,000 large companies in Poland. As a result, the relatively small penetration rate growth for ICT solutions in the SME segment in practice translates into thousands of sold devices or applications.”
